Book Haul: …Which Comes Waaay Too Soon After The Last (Aha… ha… fuck)

*peaks inside and wiggles fingers at you all*

Aha… hi, y’all! 😀 Bet you weren’t expecting to see me so soon, now were ya?

Yeaahhh… so about that. XD As per usual, my next monthly shipment/installment/requesting pool of books come in and… well… OBVIOUSLY I HAVE NO SELF CONTROL.

The good thing though is that I have a nice long weekend ahead of me with LOTS of opportunity to read and cut down some of this monstrously long TBR.

Anywho… >___> Imma just… leave these here… Yeah. *EHEM* Enjoy. ❤

Book Haul: …Which Is Bigger Than Big Because It’s Two Month’s Worth (Aha… ha)

Book Haul mania, guys! Truthfully, I wish I could say I’ve gotten the chance to read through most of these already… but, in fact, I’ve barely looked at them since purchasing/being gifted/winning/ requesting/or otherwise receiving them. 8D

As the title suggests, this haul is extra, EXTRA large because it’s a compilation of this month AND last month’s haul. (Maybe even a bit of the month before??? IDK WOW I’M SO BEHIND HAHAHAhaha… ehh… crap.)

Nevertheless, here we are! 😀

Definitely lemme know if any of them catch your eye or if you’ve read any of these titles yourself. I get the feeling that most of these are going to be pretty good-if-not-FAN-FRIGGIN-TASTIC-ONES, so I’d love to get some feedback if you’ve read and enjoyed ’em. (Or if you hated ’em, tell me why!)

As always , the links will take you to their GoodReads or NetGalley page, so if you’re interested, click away to read the description~~

Sooooo, this was a lovely surprise today! 🙂 Yesterday I found out that my membership card wasn’t expired AND that I apparently had a free gift voucher for up to $10 on anything storewide pre-loaded onto it in celebration of my birthday.

f14c9802d45077eb6c3726fb8b3accd1

Obviously that meant books, books, books, books~~~

So I raced to the nearest bookstore and picked up Ensnared, which I knew they finally had out on their shelves, and purchased it at a killer steal. *Mwahahaha* I also ended up getting a fancy new bookmark as my free birthday gift.

I chose the owl because whoooo doesn’t like an ow-hooool? 🙂

Later that night, I saw Red Queen for a ridiculously cheap amount of money at BJ’s, but had no money to purchase it after splurging on Ensnared. 😦

Cue my best mate to the rescue! 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀

Dag knew exactly what to do and dragged my ass back to BJ’s today and presented me with his credit card and that gorgeous book in hand.

It’s times like this when nothing can go wrong. BEST NEW YEAR’S EVER.

I’m just proud I didn’t dance down the aisles.

Book Haul PART 2: …Which Only Proves I Have No Self-Control

Whelp. Looks like I can add a few more books to that absurdly long list from before.

What can I say? My fingers slipped. 😛

Too many books, you say?

Super Discounted Books! $1 Finds

On today’s episode of how I managed to snag some awesome and utterly cheap hardcover books, we have as part of our book haul:

Picked them up at a local store that was having a clearance sale. Everything in the bin was a buck. 😈 I was super tempted to just grab as many books as could fit in my arms, cart, and shopping bag, AND RUN! But after some careful searching, I only came up with about six or so titles that interested me. 😐

Already started reading Alek, and it’s… interesting, to say the least. As I said, I would have gotten more books, but… well… It was either buy more books or use the two meager dollars I had left for coffee.

I went with coffee.

(I know, I’m hideous for choosing the coffee. But it had to be done. *nod nod* Don’t judge me!)

Book Haul – My Latest Discoveries At A Local Used Bookstore

I had the pleasure of finding a most delightful (and odd) little used bookshop today. Literally in the middle of nowhere. I should have taken pictures to prove how friggin’ remote and hidden away this place was.

But, perhaps, for good reason! Bought six books in damn good condition for a little under $8 US dollars.

I’m not even kidding here.

Here’s the list and the photo evidence XD:

  • Interview With A Vampire by Anne Rice
  • Jhereg by Steven Brust
  • The Seventh Gate by Margaret Weis & Tracy Hickman
  • Mossflower by Brian Jacques
  • Wizard’s First Rule by Terry Goodkind
  • The Storyteller’s Start-Up Book by Margaret Read MacDonald

Adding these to last week’s impromptu buys (which I forget to blog about, sorry guys!!):

  • Aesop’s Fables
  • Deep Blue by Jennifer Donnelly

and bringing my book haul total to 8, I can safely say that old adage, “So many books, so little time!” is the truest expression for my current predicament.

Of course, as my luck would have it, I get all these lovely books with absolutely NO time to read them. This weekend I’m going to be sooo busy! (Damn you, interfering real life!!! *shake fists at*)

I’ll have to find time during the week.

Maybe.

Or just take off a day at wor–*COUGH* Yeah, no, you didn’t read that at all. 8D Keep it movin’ folks! Nothing to see here. XD
