INTO THE WIND (MERMAN OF EA, BOOK #2) by Shira Anthony

Taren begins his new life with the Ea, and with Ian at his side, he embarks on a mission to recover the rune stone.  On their way to the islands to find the pirate Odhrán, who is rumored to know the stone’s whereabouts, the Phantom is attacked by humans and Taren is separated from Ian and his crew.

Taren must find his way back to Ian and his people, but things get a bit complicated when Odhrán’s men find him first.  What can Taren do to convince the pirate that he needs to find the stone to protect his people?  And if the rumors that Odhrán enslaves Ea and uses them to protect his island stronghold are true, what hope does Taren have of returning to the Phantom and the man he loves?

Latest Synopsis:

Since learning of his merman shifter heritage, Taren has begun building a life with Ian Dunaidh among the mainland Ea. But memories of his past life still haunt him, and as the threat of war with the hostile island merfolk looms ever closer, Taren fears he will lose Ian the same way he lost his beloved centuries before. Together they sail to the Gateway Islands in search of the fabled rune stone—a weapon of great power the Ea believe will protect them—and Odhrán, the pirate rumored to possess it.

After humans attack the Phantom, Taren finds himself washed up on an island, faced with a mysterious boy named Brynn who promises to lead him to Odhrán. But Taren isn’t sure if he can trust Brynn, and Odhrán is rumored to enslave Ea to protect his stronghold. Taren will have to put his life on the line to find his way back to Ian and attempt to recover the stone. Even if he does find it, his troubles are far from over: he and Ian are being stalked by an enemy who wants them dead at all costs.

Phildel – Storm Song

Today’s selection is from Phildel, a British singer/songwriter of Chinese and Irish decent. Her sound is really ethereal in nature and incredibly haunting. This song in particular showcases the full capacity of her exquisite voice, being both quite strong and delicate at the same time.

I don’t actually have a single book or character that this song can specifically be applied to…

What do you think?

Like it? Hate it? Have a character or book in mind for it?

Music posting is going on a schedule (sort of…)

Because I want to get more music on this blog as well as more books, I’m going to try working out a schedule for when I upload tracks for your listening pleasure. These will be compiled under the heading of RECKLESS BEATS.

With any luck, on Saturdays and/or Mondays this blog will see new music selections, or at least artists, that I absolutely love getting a little showtime here.

Today will be the first of the scheduled releases. Check it out in about an hour or so!

(Hope you enjoy~ 😉 )
