THE FLOWER PRINCE: A BOOK OF NEMERL (SCARLET AND THE WHITE WOLF SPIN-OFF NOVEL) by Kirby Crow

blankcover

In the Byzantur city of Rusa, a beautiful Hilurin youth is married to the goddess Deva in a secret ritual thousands of years old, and thus becomes the Flower Prince. After he is wed to the diety, no woman may look upon him, and no man save the priests of Deva may speak to him. What happens when the prince dies or grows too old, none knows, only that a new prince is eventually chosen, to live a life as guarded, revered, and invisible as his predecessor.

Rannon Aquilan, a Morturii slaver -once a pit-fighter and a former slave himself- is shocked when he is summoned to the Hyacinth Court and granted a private audience with the prince, who has a task for him: find the family he was stolen from fifteen years ago.

Having no choice but to agree, Rannon sets out with the best of intentions, but finds himself blocked at every turn by powerful Rusan factions intent on keeping both him and his prince in the dark, and what started out as a simple job turns into a fight for his life.
